Early Registration Savings Now Available for PGA Show Education Conference

Outdoor instructional workshops, daily keynote sessions, certification programs and classroom seminars create a comprehensive educational calendar at the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Jan. 26-29, 2016.

Detailed descriptions of educational programming, instructor biographies and online registration are now available at PGAShow.com. Early savings on conference registration fees are available through December 14, 2015. PGA Professionals are able to earn more than 30 MSR credits through participation in PGA Education and PGA Merchandise Show programs.

“The 2016 PGA Merchandise Show Education Conference has been developed to help PGA Professionals improve customer loyalty and satisfaction through key insights from the game’s top teachers and business strategy experts,” said PGA of America Senior Director of Education and Employment Dawes Marlatt, PGA. “PGA Professionals are at the forefront of moving the game and the business of golf into the future and this year’s educational offerings provide the latest trends and industry insights, hands-on instruction, best practices and brand engagement strategies to drive their business forward.”

Tuesday, January 26
PGA Professionals Michael Breed and Mike Malaska will present one-hour instructional workshops and David Leadbetter will offer a three-hour “A Swing” training course during the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day at Orange County National Golf Center on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Additionally, the PGA of America CPP Player Development certification program and a condensed FlightScope® Academy program will be offered that day.

Wednesday – Friday, January 27-29
The daily keynote education sessions, Jan. 27-29, begin each conference day at the Orange County Convention Center and feature presentations by Cornell University Professor of Strategy Cathy A. Enz, Ph.D., on profit management (Wednesday); a distinguished panel of successful golf facility operators discussing how to achieve career aspirations (Thursday); and David Leadbetter who will present a one-hour condensed presentation of the “A Swing” (Friday). The keynote sessions begin a schedule of more than 40 classroom seminars led by many of golf’s most respected subject matter experts and industry leaders. Classroom seminars will focus on four key content tracks – teaching & coaching, leadership, retail/merchandising, and sales & marketing.

Registration – Online, Early Savings & Single Sessions
Registration for the educational offerings at the PGA Merchandise Show is now available online at PGAShow.com . Early savings are available for registration made through Dec. 14, 2015, and single session registration is available in addition to single day and full conference. With the purchase of a Full Conference Pass, registrants will have the opportunity to have a photograph headshot taken by a professional photographer free of charge. Professional photograph headshots will be available for $15 if not purchasing a Full Conference Pass. PGA Professionals are able to earn more than 30 MSR credits through participation in PGA Education and PGA Merchandise Show programs.

PGA Youth & Family Golf Summit, presented by Omega
The biennial PGA Youth & Family Golf Summit, presented by Omega, is an additional PGA Show Week education opportunity, Jan. 24-25 at the Orange County Convention Center. The Sunday-Monday Summit will focus on successful player-development programs involving youths and families, while providing PGA Professionals with a variety of proven practices to help grow their own businesses through junior golf and family involvement. PGA Professionals can earn 16 MSR hours by attending the two-day PGA Youth & Family Golf Summit. Registration is available on PGA.org.
