Doug Hammer on the importance of offering several weekly clinics:
Here at Troon North we look to offer multiple weekly clinics for all skill levels to attend. What we love about clinics is the atmosphere they provide. Clinics help remove the intimidation factor that one-on-one instruction sometimes provides, and allows attendees to make new friends and enjoy the comfortable learning environment. Throughout the course of the week we will offer four clinics one for women and golf, one for youth, one for advanced level players and another focused on on-course play. Our attendance numbers continue to grow as we offer this aggressive schedule October-May.
Doug Hammer on the business impact of offering several weekly clinics:
As mentioned we offer weekly clinics during our peak months, October – May which captures anywhere between 10-20 students per-clinic. We charge anywhere from $25.00 (standard clinic) to $65.00 (on-course) clinic. Monthly, these clinics alone drive anywhere between $5,000-$10,000 which doesn’t include the utilization of our Food & Beverage operation (which we see roughly 20 percent of students utilizing) as well as new individual student lesson revenue. We’re capturing roughly 40 percent women, 40 percent juniors and 30 percent men as we continue to look at offering more clinics as it serves as a wonderful platform to engage new and advanced golfers!
