Chuck Evans: Promote Fun to Women

chuck-evans1Chuck Evans, a two-time GRAA Top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional and a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher in America, is the worldwide executive director of instructor for Medicus Golf and for Chuck Evans Golf at Tiffany Greens Golf Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

Chuck Evans on the importance of promoting fun to women:
When establishing women’s programs, you must always keep in mind the importance of fun activities and competition-based programming. Here at Tiffany Greens, we offer five-week and 10-week women’s programs that are taught by our golf staff. Each session runs for one-and-a-half to two hours. We tend to focus greenside and work back, which allows us the opportunity to develop the scoring zone shots first while tailoring the individual’s grip, setup, posture and stroke. At the end of each class we have a fun contest, whether it be closest to the hole, closest chip or longest drive. Finally, we offer a webinar once per week, which allows players from around the world the opportunity to ask questions and stay fresh with their practice concentration.

Chuck Evans on the business impact of promoting fun to women:
Our women’s programs run $249.99 for five weeks and $449.99 for 10 weeks, which equates to 10 hours and 20 hours of instruction, respectively. These classes always fill and have no more than 16 students, we like to focus on an eight-to-one student-to-teacher ratio. Fun is always paramount, as we look forward to the future of attracting more women, especially millennials, to our facility!
