adidas Golf has announced the release of a new range of GORE-TEX® performance outerwear that includes jackets and pants. Developed to protect athletes in the most inclement weather, the two-layer rain suit was designed to withstand the roughest of elements without sacrificing flexibility, comfort and range of motion during play. The two-layer fabric helps regulate body heat by allowing perspiration vapor to escape, keeping it more comfortable during activity and inactive periods.“With our new adidas GORE-TEX outerwear collection we can keep golf athletes focused on their performance, rather than on the harshest of elements” said Davide Mattucci, Director of Global Apparel Product Marketing. “By integrating truly durably waterproof fabrics into a stylish, fully-functional rain suit, golfers are guaranteed to stay warm and dry and be able to swing freely without distraction.”In addition to a fully seam-sealed design, the jackets also feature a double center-front storm flap with a zipper and Velcro enclosure, double cinch at the waist and hem and Velcro adjustable cuffs, providing a comfortable, customized fit. Delivering maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of activities and weather conditions, garments made with two-layer GORE-TEX fabrics are durably waterproof, windproof and very breathable.
The two-layer suits debuted at the 2013 Open Championship at Muirfield, where all adidas Golf tour staffers carried the suit during the tournament. Available now, the adidas GORE-TEX Two-Layer Rain Jacket is available in five colorways: BLACK / GORE GREY, GORE BLUE / GORE GRAY, GORE GRAY / BLACK, GORE ORANGE / BLACK and WHITE / BLACK carrying an MSRP of $275 USD.
