Special programs: Special Olympics play golf every Wednesday on our Executive course. We participated in The PGA Junior League for the first year. We teach golf instruction at three area grade and middle schools in their afterschool program. We also visit 6 local grade and middle school P. E. classes for full day golf instruction. Several of the P.E. teachers have now implimented a golf unit for their curriculum. The KY PGA allows us to use their inflatable driving range net. With this we have visited many festivals and community events. We have taken it to the Florence Freedom minor league baseball games, Cincy Cinco, which is a celebration of Cinco de Mayo for the hispanic community in downtown Cincinnati. We have also taken this net to the Queen City Sausage festival in Newport, KY which is on the banks of the Ohio River. We have recieved two grants the last two years. One from the National Alliance for Accessible Golf to host disables Veterans for golf clinics and playing opportunities at no charge to the Veterans. The other grant was from the LPGAUSGA which we have completed the program for two straight years. The first year we had 40 girls visit 10 times for lessons and to play golf. The second year we were up to 72 girls. The girls are only charged $40 for all ten visits.
