The annual Nimitz Classic held in June is kicked off by a full scale live WWII reenactment. The show begins with vintage fighter aircraft and torpedo bombers making strafing runs across the battle field (practice park). Pyrotechnics are pre-set in the bunkers to simulate bombs being dropped as the plane make their runs. Troop reenactors are engaged with machine gun nests and tanks to top it off.
Special programs:
Boot Ranch is heavily invested in the Fredericksburg and surrounding communities. The club provides access to the facility for the local high school and middle school boys and girls golf teams as well as the Greater San Antonio Area First Tee program. The professional staff not only helps teach the juniors with the First Tee but trains them in the art of caddie service.
