PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Opens to Golf Industry in Las Vegas

The 2014 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience will bring together thousands of golf industry influencers next week, Aug. 18-20, to preview the newest golf apparel and accessory collections, test the latest equipment and golf technology, learn from industry experts and network with colleagues in the sophisticated new settings of Cascata Golf Club and the Palazzo Ballroom of the Venetian Conference Center in Las Vegas.

“The new PGA Fashion & Demo Experience offers a modern, upscale marketplace where PGA Professionals and industry executives will have valuable access to the newest golf innovations and merchandise to drive their retail operations,” said PGA of America CEO Pete Bevacqua. “The educational and business programs are an additional valuable opportunity to learn new strategies to move forward careers and growth of the game on a grassroots level.”

Monday, August 18

PGA Demo Experience
The PGA Fashion & Demo Experience begins on Monday, Aug. 18, with more than 50 equipment and technology companies demonstrating their newest products and services at the new PGA Demo Experience, presented by health and wellness company, Magic Nutrition, at the renowned Cascata Golf Club just outside of Las Vegas.

All PGA Professionals and industry leaders registered to attend the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience will be able to personally preview and test new equipment, technology, training aids and accessories from leading golf brands and emerging companies during the PGA Demo Experience, 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. The event will encompass the entire Cascata facility and feature new equipment and technology testing at the range and short game greens, a golf vendor village, an indoor merchandise marketplace in the Cascata Ballroom, contests and prizes. Additionally, an industry reception will be offered throughout the Cascata clubhouse and grounds featuring professional networking, refreshments and live music by 2012 American Idol contestant Mahikumakani “Mahi” Crabbe and his band. An AGM 25th anniversary networking event also will be held in the Cascata clubhouse, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., open to all AGM members and event attendees. PGA Professionals attending the PGA Demo Experience will receive 4 MSR credits in the industry participation category.

Instructional Workshops by Stan Utley, PGA
PGA Professional Stan Utley, PGA Tour winner and one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 Best Teachers in America, will provide hands-on short-game instruction during two one-hour sessions at the 18th hole of Cascata Golf Club during the PGA Demo Experience on Monday, Aug. 18. Workshops will begin at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

PGA Professionals will receive 1 MSR credit in the PGA Education category per workshop. Separate workshop registration is required. Online workshop registration is available throughout the event and onsite registration will be available at Cascata Golf Club to all registered PGA Fashion & Demo Experience attendees.

PGA Education Conference
The PGA Education Conference, held in conjunction with the 2014 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, features certification programs, outdoor short-game instructional workshops, more than twenty classroom seminars, a full-day youth and family workshop and a special keynote industry conference. At the Venetian on Monday, Aug. 18, the PGA of America will present the CPP 2.0 Jumpstart for All Certifications, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and Flightscope will offer the Flightscope Academy Program, 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.    Education registration is available through online attendee registration and onsite education registration will be available at the event registration counter on the fourth floor of the Venetian.

PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Pro-Pro Tournament
PGA and active LPGA Professionals in good standing will have the opportunity to compete in the inaugural PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Pro-Pro Tournament, presented by Magic Nutrition, featuring a purse of up to $25,000, with a $10,000 prize awarded to the winning team (based on a full field). The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. The tournament is currently sold out and closed to additional participants.

Tuesday & Wednesday, Aug. 19-20

PGA Fashion Experience
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 19-20, the hottest fashion trends and newest accessory collections from some 200 companies and brands will be exclusively showcased for attending PGA Professionals and buyers at the new PGA Fashion Experience. The PGA Fashion Experience, co-located with multiple Las Vegas Fashion Week trade shows, is moving to a sophisticated new setting in the Palazzo Ballroom on the fifth floor of the Venetian Conference Center. The PGA Fashion Experience opens each morning at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Live Fashion Show
The PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Live Fashion Show, presented by Chase54, will take place on the Main Stage of the Show Floor on Tuesday, August 19, 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. PGA Professionals and buyers will be able to uncover the latest trends and hottest styles from designers’ newest collections. Golf Channel’s Bailey Mosier will be the Master of Ceremonies. Participating companies include Nivo, Chase54, Daily Sports, Dominie Luxury Women’s Handbags, Sunice, Tommy Hilfiger, AUR, Tom Morris International, Girls Golf, Callaway Golf Apparel, J. Lindeberg, CUTTER & BUCK, TravisMathew, Straight Down, Donald Ross, Summit Brands.

PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Opening Night Reception
All registered PGA Professionals and industry executives are invited to the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Opening Night Reception, presented by Chase54, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., featuring complimentary wine, beer & light hors d’oeuvres in a social, lively atmosphere on the show floor. Exhibitor booths will be open for business during this networking event for PGA Professionals and buyers to enjoy the extended hours to explore, browse and discuss all the latest finds the show floor has to offer.

Complimentary Main Stage Events
Golf retail workshops and fashion designer panels, presented by the PGA of America, Association of Golf Merchandisers and the Accessories Council, will be offered to all attending PGA Professionals, golf retailers and apparel buyers free of charge on the main stage in the Palazzo Ballroom.

PGA Education Conference
The PGA Education Conference, held in conjunction with the 2014 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, features certification programs, outdoor short-game instructional workshops, more than twenty classroom seminars, a full-day youth and family workshop and a special keynote industry conference.

On Tuesday morning, Aug. 19, the educational offerings begin with the National Retail Federation presentation of “How Tech is Driving the Digital Experience – Learn What Retailers Are Doing Around Consumer Expectations” by Tom Litchford, vice president of retail technology for the National Retail Federation. Education sessions in the leadership, merchandising and teaching/coaching continue, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., on the fourth floor the Venetian Conference Center in the Marcello Meeting Rooms. On Wednesday, Aug. 20, the PGA of America presents a series of youth and family workshops focused on player development, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on the fourth floor the Venetian Conference Center in the Marcello Meeting Rooms.
